Iowa High School Basketball - West Branch tops Durant
January 31, 2023: West Branch, IA 52358 West Branch Bears (West Branch, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Durant Wildcats (Durant, IA), 65-49 in a league bout.
With the victory, West Branch upgrades its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Bears host Lisbon (Lisbon, IA) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 2. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 6-11. Lisbon won 62-35 in their recent non-league bout against North Cedar (Stanwood, IA)
Next up, the Wildcats play the West Liberty Comets (West Liberty, IA) in a River Valley bout, on Friday, February 3. Durant will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Comets come into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 61-56 league loss to Wilton (Wilton, IA).
