Mississippi High School Basketball - East Union can't hold off New Site

January 24, 2023: New Site, MS 38859

The New Site Royals basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting East Union Urchins to 54 in the Royals league victory on Tuesday.

The Royals now sport a 22-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walnut for a 2A Region 1 contest on Friday, January 27. New Site will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 66-36 league win over Pine Grove (Ripley, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 13-9.

The Urchins (16-8) will now prepare for their contest against Baldwyn (Baldwyn, MS). The Bearcats come into the 2A Region 1 contest with a 5-6 record.
