Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Towns County Indians (Hiawassee, GA) and the visiting Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC), saw Towns County's basketball squad hold off Hiwassee Dam by a tally of 53-46.

With the victory, Towns County improves its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Indians host Summit Charter (Cashiers, NC) to confront the Bears in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 27. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Summit Charter lost 51-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Highlands (Highlands, NC)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats (Cashiers, NC) in a 1A Conference 43 - Little challenge, on Thursday, January 26. Hiwassee Dam will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record.
