Virginia High School Basketball - Nelson County knocked off by Chatham
January 24, 2023: Lovingston, VA 22949 The Chatham Cavaliers basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Nelson County Governors to 33 in the Cavaliers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cavaliers now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Appomattox County for a non-league contest on Friday, January 27. Chatham will battle a Raiders team coming off a 44-27 non-league win over Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 9-3.
The Governors (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Dan River (Ringgold, VA). The Wildcats enter the non-league match with a 3-9 record. In their last match, Dan River knocked off Chatham (Chatham, VA), 49-46, in a non-league match.
