Neuse Charter Cougars (Smithfield, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC), 75-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Neuse Charter upgrades its record to 4-8 on the season. The Cougars host North Duplin (Calypso, NC) to clash with the Rebels in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 13-2. North Duplin lost 59-50 in their recent non-league bout against Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC) in a bout, on Friday, January 27. Union will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Leopards go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 47-40 league win over Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC).
