The Union Spartans basketball team (Rose Hill, NC), was overwhelmed 59-10 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC)

The Leopards now possess a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Duplin for a battle on Tuesday, January 31. Lakewood will confront a Rebels team coming off a 59-37 non-league win over Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC). The Rebels record now stands at 14-2.
