Nevada High School Basketball - Cheyenne knocks off Amplus Academy

January 24, 2025: Las Vegas, NV 89113

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Cheyenne Desert Shields basketball team scored a good 57-43 win over the Amplus Academy Archers.

The Desert Shields (4-16) will now prepare for their contest against Somerset Sky Pointe (Las Vegas, NV). The Eagles come into the 4A Desert contest with a 9-12 record. In their last contest, Somerset Sky Pointe was topped by Sierra Vista (Las Vegas, NV), 90-42, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Archers battle the Somerset Academy Losee Lions (North Las Vegas, NV) in a 4A Desert contest, on Monday, January 27. Amplus Academy will attempt to better on its 7-8 season record. The Lions come into the contest with a 10-10 record after their 83-40 non-league win over Doral Academy Red Rock (Las Vegas, NV).
