January 24, 2025: Webb, MS 38966 West Tallahatchie Choctaws (Webb, MS) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Leland Cubs (Leland, MS), 48-35 in a league match.
With the victory, West Tallahatchie advances its record to 9-13 on the year. The Choctaws travel to West Bolivar (Rosedale, MS) to face the Eagles in a 1A Region 5 match on Tuesday, January 28. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 9-12. West Bolivar lost 57-38 in their recent league match against Shaw (Shaw, MS)
The Cubs now own a 2-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Simmons for a 1A Region 5 match on Tuesday, January 28. Leland will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 80-71 league win over South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-14.
