North Carolina High School Basketball - Patton holds off Polk County

The Patton Panthers basketball team scored 82 points and limited the visiting Polk County Wolverines to 77 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now possess a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Lincolnton for a non-league game on Monday, January 27. Patton will confront a Wolves team coming off a 66-60 league win over Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC). The Wolves record now stands at 13-4.

With the loss, Polk County falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to confront the Bearcats in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 game on Tuesday, January 28. The Bearcats go into the game with a record of 13-6. Hendersonville won 62-44 in their recent league game against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC)
