North Carolina High School Basketball - Providence Grove knocks off Uwharrie Charter Academy

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Providence Grove Patriots basketball team scored a good 63-50 win over the Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles.

The Patriots (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC). The Cougars come into the 1A/2A Piedmont contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, Southwestern Randolph was topped by Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC), 76-44, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Wheatmore Warriors (Trinity, NC) in a 1A/2A Piedmont contest, on Wednesday, January 29. Uwharrie Charter Academy will attempt to better on its 14-5 season record.
