The Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD) basketball nipped the host Centennial Eagles (Ellicott City, MD), 56-50 in Wednesday's league test.

The Lightning (11-2) will now prepare for their test against Oakland Mills (Columbia, MD). The Scorpions go into the Howard County test with a 8-7 record. In their last test, Oakland Mills was tipped by Glenelg (Glenelg, MD), 43-37, in a league test.
