Texas High School Basketball - Cypress Lakes can't hold off Cypress Springs

The Cypress Springs Panthers basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Cypress Lakes Spartans to 40 in the Panthers league triumph on Wednesday.

The Panthers now sport a 24-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Langham Creek for a 6A Region II District 16 contest on Saturday, January 28. Cypress Springs will battle a Lobos team coming off a 54-26 league win over Cypress Woods (Cypress, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 20-9.

The Spartans (19-10) will now prepare for their contest against Cypress Park (Cypress, TX). The Tigers enter the 6A Region II District 16 contest with a 4-22 record. In their last contest, Cypress Park was nudged by Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX), 84-19, in a league contest.
