New Mexico High School Basketball - Escalante overwhelms Questa
January 25, 2024: Questa, NM 87556 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Escalante Lobos (Tierra Amarilla, NM) and the host Questa Wildcats (Questa, NM), saw Escalante's basketball squad wallop Questa by a tally of 74-40.
With the victory, Escalante improves its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Lobos travel to Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM) to confront the Trojans in a 2A District 5 challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 12-4. Mesa Vista won 65-45 in their recent league challenge against McCurdy (Espanola, NM)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Mora Rangers/Rangerettes (Mora, NM) in a 2A District 5 challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Questa will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record. The Rangers/Rangerettes come into the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 58-43 league win over Penasco (Penasco, NM).
