Maine High School Basketball - Gorham topples Thornton Academy
January 25, 2024: Saco, ME 04072 In Thursday's league outing, the Gorham Rams (Gorham, ME) basketball squad beat the host Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME), by a count of 69-60.
The Rams (12-3) will now prepare for their outing against Sanford (Sanford, ME). The Spartans go into the AA South outing with a 7-6 record. In their last outing, Sanford defeated Scarborough (Scarborough, ME), 64-59, in a league outing.
The Trojans now hold a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to South Portland for a AA South outing on Saturday, January 27. Thornton Academy will clash with a Red Riots squad coming off a 70-64 non-league win over Noble (North Berwick, ME). The Red Riots record now stands at 5-8.
