In Saturday's league contest, the host Cortland Purple Tigers basketball team scored a good 60-46 triumph over the Mexico Tigers.

The Purple Tigers (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Solvay (Solvay, NY). The Bearcats go into the non-league contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Solvay was topped by Homer (Homer, NY), 57-53, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Homer Trojans (Homer, NY) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Mexico will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 3-8 record after their 57-53 non-league win over Solvay (Solvay, NY).
