The Ottawa Pirates topped the visiting Kaneland Knights basketball team by a final score of 52-33 in Thursday's league game.

In their next game, the Pirates face the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers (LaSalle, IL) in a Interstate 8 game, on Friday, January 27. Ottawa will attempt to move on its 20-6 season record. The Cavaliers enter the game with a 14-9 record after their 43-40 league win over Sandwich (Sandwich, IL).

With the defeat, Kaneland moves to 11-13 on the year. The Knights host Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL) to face the Raiders in a non-league game on Saturday, January 28.
