January 26, 2023: Baileyville, ME 04694 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME) and the host Woodland Dragons (Baileyville, ME), saw Mattanawcook's basketball squad overcome Woodland by a tally of 49-38.
With the victory, Mattanawcook improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Lynx host Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME) to confront the Howlers in a C North challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Howlers come into the challenge with a record of 11-1.
Next up, the Dragons confront the Sumner Tigers (East Sullivan, ME) in a C North challenge, on Saturday, January 28. Woodland will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 40-36 non-league loss to Deer Isle-Stonington (Deer Isle, ME).
