The Austin Mustangs basketball team (Houston, TX), was overwhelmed 69-45 in Friday's league battle with the host Sterling Raiders (Houston, TX)

The Raiders now possess a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Milby for a 5A Region III District 19 battle on Monday, January 29. Sterling will confront a Buffs team coming off a 96-60 league loss to Madison (Houston, TX). The Buffs record now stands at 9-17.

The Mustangs (10-14) will now prepare for their battle against Galena Park (Galena Park, TX). The Yellowjackets come into the 5A Region III District 19 battle with a 10-15 record. In their last battle, Galena Park trounced Sharpstown (Houston, TX), 62-43, in a league battle.
