The BASIS Red Giants basketball team (Washington, DC), was nudged 59-58 in Friday's league battle with the host Washington Leadership Academy (Washington, DC)

The now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Idea for a PCSAA A battle on Monday, January 29. Washington Leadership Academy will battle a Timberwolves team coming off a 61-42 league win over Richard Wright Public Charter School (Washington, DC). The Timberwolves record now stands at 16-6.

The Red Giants (1-12) will now prepare for their battle against SEED DC (Washington, DC). The come into the PCSAA A battle with a 3-13 record. In their last battle, SEED DC was nudged by Parkside (Washington, DC), 66-63, in a non-league battle.
