The Edgewood Lions basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Bassett Olympians to 42 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 16-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pomona for a Miramonte contest on Monday, January 29. Edgewood will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 64-60 league loss to La Puente (La Puente, CA). The Red Devils record now stands at 12-15.

The Olympians (5-19) will now prepare for their contest against Ganesha (Pomona, CA). The Giants enter the Miramonte contest with a 1-15 record. In their last contest, Ganesha was defeated by Garey (Pomona, CA), 67-31, in a league contest.
