Connecticut High School Basketball - Pomperaug thwarts Bethel
January 26, 2024: Southbury, CT 06488 The Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) basketball knocked off the visiting Bethel Wildcats (Bethel, CT), 65-45 in Friday's league test.
The Panthers (7-5) will now prepare for their test against New Fairfield (New Fairfield, CT). The Rebels go into the Southwest test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, New Fairfield went down by Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT), 88-59, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to New Milford for a Southwest test on Monday, January 29. Bethel will encounter a Green Wave squad coming off a 57-53 league loss to Masuk (Monroe, CT). The Green Wave record now stands at 2-10.
