Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Weston Trojans (Weston, CT), 47-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Pomperaug upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Panthers host Bethel (Bethel, CT) to clash with the Wildcats in a Southwest bout on Friday, January 26. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Bethel lost 43-27 in their recent league bout against New Fairfield (New Fairfield, CT)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Bunnell Bulldogs (Stratford, CT) in a Southwest bout, on Friday, January 26. Weston will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 11-1 record after their 85-65 league win over Immaculate (Danbury, CT).
