Connecticut High School Basketball - Masuk holds off Weston
January 4, 2024: Monroe, CT 06468 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Masuk Panthers (Monroe, CT) and the visiting Weston Trojans (Weston, CT), saw Masuk's basketball squad hold off Weston by a tally of 57-55.
With the victory, Masuk improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT) to confront the Lancers in a Southwest challenge on Monday, January 8. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Notre Dame Catholic won 65-53 in their recent league challenge against Pomperaug (Southbury, CT)
Next up, the Trojans confront the Harding Presidents (Bridgeport, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 6. Weston will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Presidents come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 74-39 non-league loss to Trumbull (Trumbull, CT).
