Texas High School Basketball - Cayuga tops Cross Roads
January 26, 2024: Malakoff, TX 75148 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Cayuga Wildcats (Cayuga, TX) and the host Cross Roads Bobcats (Malakoff, TX), saw Cayuga's basketball squad knock off Cross Roads by a count of 44-34.
With the victory, Cayuga upgrades its record to 11-16 on the campaign. The Wildcats host LaPoynor (LaRue, TX) to play the Flyers in a 2A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Flyers come into the challenge with a record of 17-9.
Next up, the Bobcats play the Kerens Bobcats (Kerens, TX) in a 2A Region III District 19 match, on Tuesday, January 30. Cross Roads will attempt to move on its 5-12 season record. The Bobcats enter the match with a 10-9 record after their 83-38 league loss to Martins Mill (Ben Wheeler, TX).
