Louisiana High School Basketball - Crescent City Christian overwhelms Riverside Academy
January 26, 2024: Metairie, LA 70006 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Crescent City Christian Pioneers (Metairie, LA) and the visiting Riverside Academy Rebels (Reserve, LA), saw Crescent City Christian's basketball squad wallop Riverside Academy by a count of 86-49.
With the victory, Crescent City Christian upgrades its record to 16-7 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Newman (New Orleans, LA) to play the Greenies in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Greenies come into the challenge with a record of 11-10. Newman won 68-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA)
Next up, the Rebels play the Varnado Wildcats (Angie, LA) in a 1A District 10 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Riverside Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 57-50 non-league loss to Abramson (New Orleans, LA).
