Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Denver North Vikings (Denver, CO) and the visiting Kennedy Commanders (Denver, CO), saw Denver North's basketball squad hold off Kennedy by a count of 79-72.

With the victory, Denver North upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Vikings host Thomas Jefferson (Denver, CO) to play the Spartans in a 5A/4A Denver Prep challenge on Wednesday, January 31. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 9-8. Thomas Jefferson lost 80-65 in their recent non-league challenge against Denver East (Denver, CO)

Next up, the Commanders play the Thornton Trojans (Thornton, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Kennedy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 97-53 league loss to Adams City (Commerce City, CO).
