Texas High School Basketball - Eastlake can't hold off Franklin

The Franklin Cougars basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Eastlake Falcons to 53 in the Cougars league victory on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 19-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pebble Hills for a 6A Region I District 1 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Franklin will battle a Spartans team coming off a 51-41 league loss to Montwood (El Paso, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 16-10.

The Falcons (17-13) will now prepare for their contest against Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX). The Spartans come into the 6A Region I District 1 contest with a 16-10 record.
