The Girard Yellowjackets basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the host North East Grape Pickers to 36 in the Yellowjackets non-league victory on Friday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 15-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Erie First Christian Academy for a District 10 Region 2 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Girard will battle a team coming off a 68-52 league win over Iroquois (Erie, PA). The record now stands at 4-11.

The Grape Pickers (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Northwestern (Albion, PA). The Wildcats come into the District 10 Region 3 contest with a 0-14 record. In their last contest, Northwestern was routed by Mercyhurst Prep (Erie, PA), 63-23, in a league contest.
