January 26, 2024: Hagerstown, MD 21740 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots (Frederick, MD) and the host South Hagerstown Rebels (Hagerstown, MD), saw Governor Thomas Johnson's basketball squad hold off South Hagerstown by a tally of 53-50.
With the victory, Governor Thomas Johnson improves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Urbana (Ijamsville, MD) to confront the Hawks in a CMC challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Urbana lost 59-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Centennial (Ellicott City, MD)
Next up, the Rebels confront the Linganore Lancers (Frederick, MD) in a CMC challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. South Hagerstown will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 47-46 non-league loss to Westminster (Westminster, MD).
