Oregon High School Basketball - Putnam nips Hood River Valley
January 26, 2024: Milwaukie, OR 97267 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Putnam Kingsmen (Milwaukie, OR) and the visiting Hood River Valley Eagles (Hood River, OR), saw Putnam's basketball squad hold off Hood River Valley by a count of 53-47.
With the victory, Putnam upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Kingsmen host La Salle (Milwaukie, OR) to play the Falcons in a 5A Northwest Oregon challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 8-7.
Next up, the Eagles play the Canby Cougars (Canby, OR) in a 5A Northwest Oregon challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Hood River Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 67-49 league loss to Wilsonville (Wilsonville, OR).
