The Montpelier Solons basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Thetford Academy Panthers to 44 in the Solons league triumph on Friday.

The Solons now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Peoples Academy for a non-league contest on Monday, January 29. Montpelier will meet a Wolves team coming off a 78-26 league loss to Hazen (Hardwick, VT). The Wolves record now stands at 1-10.

The Panthers (11-1) will now prepare for their contest against Windsor (Windsor, VT). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league contest with a 6-7 record. In their last contest, Windsor was defeated by Bellows Falls (Bellows Falls, VT), 75-64, in a league contest.
