Louisiana High School Basketball - Southwood tops Parkway
January 26, 2024: Shreveport, LA 71118 Southwood Cowboys (Shreveport, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Parkway Panthers (Bossier City, LA), 56-43 in a league bout.
With the victory, Southwood upgrades its record to 18-7 on the campaign. The Cowboys host Benton (Benton, LA) to play the Tigers in a 5A District 1 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 13-13. Benton won 54-47 in their recent league bout against Byrd (Shreveport, LA)
Next up, the Panthers play the Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA) in a 5A District 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Parkway will attempt to upgrade on its 11-13 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the bout with a 4-17 record after their 54-47 league loss to Benton (Benton, LA).
