Southwood Cowboys (Shreveport, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Natchitoches Central Chiefs (Natchitoches, LA), 57-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Southwood upgrades its record to 24-9 on the season.

Next up, the Chiefs clash with the Caldwell Parish Spartans (Columbia, LA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 17. Natchitoches Central will attempt to better on its 25-7 season record. The Spartans enter the contest with a 13-12 record after their 43-39 league loss to Bunkie (Bunkie, LA).
