January 26, 2024: Ridgeview, SD 57652 The Takini Skyhawks basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the host Tiospaye Topa Thunderhawks to 55 in the Skyhawks non-league victory on Friday.
The Skyhawks now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wakpala for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Takini will battle a Sioux team coming off a 63-30 non-league win over Flandreau Indian (Flandreau, SD). The Sioux record now stands at 6-7.
The Thunderhawks (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Flandreau Indian (Flandreau, SD). The Indians come into the non-league contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Flandreau Indian was defeated by Wakpala (Wakpala, SD), 63-30, in a non-league contest.
