The Steele Knights basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Clemens Buffaloes to 28 in the Knights league victory on Friday.

The Knights now sport a 24-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Braunfels for a 6A Region IV District 27 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Steele will battle a Unicorns team coming off a 54-31 league loss to Judson (Converse, TX). The Unicorns record now stands at 13-19.

The Buffaloes (18-14) will now prepare for their contest against San Marcos (San Marcos, TX). The Rattlers come into the 6A Region IV District 27 contest with a 18-9 record. In their last contest, San Marcos was routed by East Central (San Antonio, TX), 56-48, in a league contest.
