Cypress Centurions (Cypress, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Kennedy Fighting Irish (La Palma, CA), 50-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cypress upgrades its record to 14-11 on the campaign. The Centurions travel to Crean Lutheran (Irvine, CA) to play the Saints in a Empire bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Saints come into the bout with a record of 16-6. Crean Lutheran won 68-32 in their recent league bout against Valencia (Placentia, CA)

Next up, the Fighting Irish play the Pacifica Mariners (Garden Grove, CA) in a Empire bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Kennedy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-17 season record. The Mariners come into the bout with a 20-6 record after their 30-18 league win over Tustin (Tustin, CA).
