The Homer Mariners basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Seward Seahawks to 49 in the Mariners league triumph on Friday.

The Mariners now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nikiski for a 3A Peninsula contest on Friday, February 2. Homer will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 71-29 non-league loss to Wasilla (Wasilla, AK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-9.
