Tahoka Bulldogs (Tahoka, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Ropes Eagles (Ropesville, TX), 46-29 in a league bout.

With the victory, Tahoka upgrades its record to 18-10 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Post (Post, TX) to play the Antelopes in a 2A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Antelopes come into the bout with a record of 3-20.

Next up, the Eagles play the Plains Cowboys (Plains, TX) in a 2A Region I District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Ropes will attempt to upgrade on its 19-8 season record. The Cowboys come into the bout with a 21-6 record after their 41-18 league loss to Tahoka (Tahoka, TX).
