North Carolina High School Basketball - North Wilkes nips East Surry
January 26, 2024: Hays, NC 28635 North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC), 35-28 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, North Wilkes upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Surry Central (Dobson, NC) to play the Golden Eagles in a bout on Thursday, February 1. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a record of 8-6.
Next up, the Cardinals play the North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. East Surry will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record.
