North Carolina High School Basketball - North Wilkes tops West Wilkes
January 9, 2024: Hays, NC 28635 North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), 45-30 in a league bout.
With the victory, North Wilkes upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Vikings host Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 2-3.
Next up, the Blackhawks play the North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) in a test, on Friday, January 12. West Wilkes will attempt to advance on its 3-8 season record.
