The Cushing Bearkats (Cushing, TX) basketball nipped the host Carlisle Indians (Price, TX), 62-55 in Friday's league test.

The Bearkats (7-10) will now prepare for their test against New Summerfield (New Summerfield, TX). The Hornets go into the 2A Region III District 22 test with a 21-5 record. In their last test, New Summerfield got by Mt. Enterprise (Mt. Enterprise, TX), 49-36, in a league test.
