Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX) and the host Cushing Bearkats (Cushing, TX), saw Overton's basketball squad hold off Cushing by a tally of 43-41.

With the victory, Overton improves its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Carlisle (Price, TX) to confront the Indians in a 2A Region III District 22 challenge on Friday, January 13. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Carlisle lost 40-35 in their recent league challenge against New Summerfield (New Summerfield, TX)
