Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Mt. Enterprise Wildcats (Mt. Enterprise, TX), 54-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Overton upgrades its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Cushing (Cushing, TX) to play the Bearkats in a 2A Region III District 22 bout on Friday, February 3. The Bearkats come into the bout with a record of 7-11. Cushing lost 40-35 in their recent league bout against New Summerfield (New Summerfield, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Douglass Indians (Douglass, TX) in a 2A Region III District 22 bout, on Friday, February 3. Mt. Enterprise will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record.
