The Overton Mustangs basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Alto Yellowjackets to 47 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Enterprise for a 2A Region III District 22 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Overton will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 49-36 league loss to New Summerfield (New Summerfield, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-16.

The Yellowjackets (8-12) will now prepare for their contest against Douglass (Douglass, TX). The Indians enter the 2A Region III District 22 contest with a 24-3 record. In their last contest, Douglass ran past Overton (Overton, TX), 53-26, in a league contest.
