The Stearns Minutemen basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Central Red Devils to 48 in the Minutemen league triumph on Friday.

The Minutemen now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Penquis Valley for a C North contest on Saturday, January 28. Stearns will battle a Patriots team coming off a 62-34 league loss to Dexter (Dexter, ME). The Patriots record now stands at 5-7.

The Red Devils (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Piscataquis (Guilford, ME). The Pirates enter the C North contest with a 5-8 record. In their last contest, Piscataquis was defeated by Dexter (Dexter, ME), 69-42, in a league contest.
