Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME), 74-68 in a league bout.

With the win, Central upgrades its record to 5-11 on the season. The Red Devils travel to Searsport (Searsport, ME) to play the Vikings in a C North bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 5-11. Searsport won 57-24 in their recent non-league bout against Temple Academy (Waterville, ME)

Next up, the Pirates play the Dexter Tigers (Dexter, ME) in a C North bout, on Thursday, February 2. Piscataquis will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 14-1 record after their 55-43 league win over Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME).
