January 27, 2023: Hinesburg, VT 05461 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Champlain Valley Union Redhawks (Hinesburg, VT) and the visiting Mt. Mansfield Cougars (Jericho, VT), saw Champlain Valley Union's basketball squad overcome Mt. Mansfield by a tally of 51-31.
With the victory, Champlain Valley Union improves its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Redhawks travel to St. Johnsbury Academy (St. Johnsbury, VT) to confront the Hilltoppers in a Metro challenge on Monday, January 30. The Hilltoppers come into the challenge with a record of 6-5. St. Johnsbury Academy won 55-37 in their recent league challenge against Essex (Essex Junction, VT)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Rice Memorial Green Knights (South Burlington, VT) in a Metro challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Mt. Mansfield will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Green Knights come into the challenge with a 11-1 record after their 71-62 non-league loss to Albany Academy for Boys (Albany, NY).
