The Westlake Chaparrals basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Dripping Springs Tigers to 39 in the Chaparrals league triumph on Friday.

The Chaparrals now sport a 26-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Austin for a 6A Region IV District 26 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Westlake will battle a Maroons team coming off a 57-48 league loss to Akins (Austin, TX). The Maroons record now stands at 11-14.

The Tigers (15-12) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Travis (Austin, TX). The Cavaliers enter the 6A Region IV District 26 contest with a 22-6 record. In their last contest, Lake Travis was defeated by Anderson (Austin, TX), 43-37, in a league contest.
