The Hixson Wildcats basketball team (Hixson, TN), was overwhelmed 81-52 in Friday's league battle with the host East Ridge Pioneers (Chattanooga, TN)

The Pioneers now possess a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Hamilton for a 3A District 6 battle on Tuesday, January 31. East Ridge will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 75-62 league loss to Red Bank (Chattanooga, TN). The Hurricanes record now stands at 15-5.

The Wildcats (0-20) will now prepare for their battle against Chattanooga Central (Harrison, TN). The Pounders come into the 3A District 6 battle with a 9-13 record. In their last battle, Chattanooga Central trounced Signal Mountain (Signal Mountain, TN), 67-42, in a league battle.
