South Carolina High School Basketball - Emerald nudges Woodruff

Emerald Vikings (Greenwood, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Woodruff Wolverines (Woodruff, SC), 66-60 in a league bout.

With the win, Emerald upgrades its record to 8-10 on the season. The Vikings travel to Chester (Chester, SC) to clash with the Cyclones in a AAA Region 4 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Chester lost 73-67 in their recent league bout against Union County (Union, SC)

Next up, the Wolverines clash with the Clinton Red Devils (Clinton, SC) in a AAA Region 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Woodruff will attempt to upgrade on its 5-16 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 13-5 record after their 57-49 league win over Union County (Union, SC).
